My class will begin with a history of animal totems and how they are used in our world currently and why there is a resurgence of the importance of animals in our modern world.
I will talk about the major lessons that animals teach us and how we can use these simplistic values to reconnect with the needs of our core and inner selves which directs us to listening to our own unique wisdom. In order to live a harmonious life – we must connect with the natural world that surrounds us.
I will also talk about Power Animals and Shadow Animals and the important messages we can learn about ourselves from the animals we admire and the animals we fear.
The class will end with a bag being passed around with animal totems in some form and each person can grab an animal totem for themselves and we can discuss the importance of that animal’s medicine.
